Choose Your Perfect Purse Style
Purses and bags are a fun way to carry around your essentials--and be stylish. Not only that, but your bag can show your personality. Everyone is different. Some girls are old enough and want to carry a purse everyday and others are too young or don't want to. Of course, there are some girls who only carry a purse for special occasions. Whether you're girly or sporty, Lip Smacker Doll is here with some awesome suggestions for picking out the perfectly awesome purse.
Before you bring a bag, think about where you are going ahead of time. A lot of girls and women change purses depending on their destinations. You can also try to match your purse with your outfit, at least a little bit. If you have a patterned purse, don't wear clothes with a different pattern, or vice versa. For a long shopping spree, take something small. Try a casual bigger bag if you're going to a sports game, sleepover or day at the beach. For parties, bring something prettier. Just make sure if you switch bags you move the stuff inside to the purse you are using.
You might also want your bag to reflect your personality. If you're more of a tomboy, try a small plain bag and if you're into bling, sparkles and sequins might be for you. Don't be afraid to express yourself. Try looking at a junior or tween store for some in-style, smaller, easy-to-carry choices. Fringes, bright colors, quilted paisley patterns, peace signs, animal prints and florals are in.
Maybe you've seen the fancy schmancy luxury handbags celebs are carrying. Keep in mind not everyone can afford them. If you are interested in a designer bag, ask your parents for something that looks similar from a department store or young women's shop. A lot of times bags there are just as cute buts LOTS less money. Or, if your parents are willing and able to splurge, ask for a small designer wristlet or something less bulky.
Try to keep certain items in your purse at all times, like money, list of important phone numbers or cell phone, tissues and of course, when your lips need a little moisturizing, you'll want a Lip Smacker on hand. You could add lotion, gum, a hair tie or compact mirror (like one of the super cute To-ki-o Treats mirrors). Try not to overpack. If you won't use an item on a regular basis, don't pack it. Buy or use small bags or baggies to organize little items so they don't get lost.
Hopefully these tips will help you pick, carry and pack your favorite purse in a way that's just right for you. Have fun!
